Regular readers (hello, both of you), there was only one headline we could ever have chosen for Wednesday evening's race at Watermead Country Park, although in the end it wasn't a bridge too far as we got to test Leicestershire County Council's engineering department's skills by sending 600 runners charging over a bridge that had only been finished 24 hours prior. Firstly, a huge thank you must go once again to Desford Striders and their team for delivering their second League race of the season last Sunday at the Bosworth Half. The full race saw 711 finishers, 425 of whom were League runners (270M, 155F), thereby completing a total of 5,567.50 League racing miles.
