Kibworth 6...in Poetry!

Delving into the mailbag this week, we received this acrostic poem from West End Runner Ramandeep Kaur to describe the weekend's events. Try as we might, we can never capture the full flavour of all League races through our own reports, but if you are a runner in the League and ever want to share your own experiences through our blog then we'd love to hear from you! Prose or poetry very welcome... Thank you Ramandeep! Kibworth 6 today, wonderfully hosted by Roadhoggs and Fleckney & Kibworth running club

In the sports hall we gathered, photos clicked, numbers collected, bag drop and most importantly the cake hub

Brief whisperings of a cancellation were swiftly put to bed

Windy but sunny morning, before you knew it all 473 runners were forging ahead

Our first male finisher was Matt Scarsbrook from Badgers and Sophie Edge from Owls was first female

Representing the females we had 37% of participants, a 3% drop in comparison to the first 2026 league race tale

Total of 2838 racing miles completed this morning

Here's to calculating the team winners and table standing

So that's a wrap on Kibworth and those pesky hills for another year

Into May we head for the next league race: Bosworth Half 10th May, let's all cheer

XC races, two weeks we have left for March in case you need your trail and mud fix!
